With 20 offices across six continents and London as our HQ, we’re shaping the future of fintech – and we’re just getting started.
The Mission
We are looking for an ambitious, curious and resilient business builder to join our global NextGen BDR Programme.
In this role, you will learn the payments craft and work with ambitious merchants and global brands, using data, technology and AI to work smarter and create high-intent opportunities for Sales.
You will take real responsibility from the start, supported by experienced Sales leaders, coaching and a strong cohort community. This is one global programme, activated locally, with a clear platform to build a long-term commercial career.
What You’ll Do
Master the payments craft: Build a deep understanding of Checkout.com’s products, the payments ecosystem and global payment trends so you can speak credibly with prospective merchants.
Research strategic accounts: Conduct detailed research into organisations, industries, stakeholders and competitive landscapes to identify high-value opportunities.
Create relevant conversations: Use thoughtful, creative and personalised outreach across phone, email, LinkedIn and other appropriate channels to open doors with the right decision-makers.
Drive growth momentum: Build a consistent operating rhythm across prospecting, follow-up, discovery and pipeline management, generating qualified meetings and opportunities for Sales.
Run advanced discovery: Move beyond the pitch to understand the merchant’s technical and business challenges, priorities and potential outcomes.
Partner with Sales: Work closely with Sales representatives to progress opportunities, maintain momentum and support the commercial lifecycle through to successful financial go-live.
Work cross-functionally: Partner with Solutions Engineering, Underwriting, Product, Marketing and other teams to align around merchant needs and accelerate the sales cycle.
Leverage AI and sales technology: Use Salesforce, intent data, enrichment tools, analytics and approved AI tools to improve research, personalisation, territory planning and pipeline accuracy.
Operate with rigour: Keep Salesforce accurate and up to date, apply qualification frameworks thoughtfully and use data to understand what is working and where to improve.
Learn and contribute: Take part in cohort learning, enablement and community activities, share what you learn and contribute to a supportive, high-standard team environment.
What You Bring
Hunger and drive: You set ambitious goals, work hard and keep going when the work becomes difficult.
Commercial curiosity: You are interested in merchants, payments, fintech and how businesses create value. You ask sharp questions and connect product capabilities to customer outcomes.
Learning velocity: You learn unfamiliar concepts quickly, apply feedback and improve between attempts.
Resilience and ownership: You recover from setbacks, take responsibility for outcomes and follow through without needing to be chased.
Analytical ability: You are comfortable with numbers, information and data. You can break down complex problems and use evidence to decide what to do next.
Communication and presence: You listen carefully and communicate clearly in writing, conversation and presentations.
Technical curiosity: You are interested in technology and motivated to use AI and sales tools to work smarter, not just harder.
Coachability: You actively seek feedback and turn coaching into changed behaviour.
Team impact: You believe in winning as a team, share information generously and collaborate respectfully across functions.
