Founding Engineer

About the Role

As a Founding Engineer at an early-stage energy storage software startup, you will build across the full stack of a product for optimizing and forecasting industrial battery systems. You will help shape the product and its technical foundations as the team grows.

What You'll Do

• Build backend services and optimization algorithms for real-time energy asset processing.

• Develop dashboards that let battery operators monitor and control their systems.

• Design and scale cloud infrastructure for distributed battery systems.

• Deploy production-ready optimizations and improve them using real-world feedback.

• Work with cross-functional teammates to define product features and requirements.

What We're Looking For

• No more than five years of work experience, with graduation in 2023 or later.

• Full-stack familiarity with React and TypeScript on the frontend and Python on the backend, plus experience with Tailwind CSS.

• Experience with a startup of fewer than 50 employees that was founded less than three years ago.
