Founding Engineer
About the Role
Join an early-stage AI sales automation team building multimodal agents that communicate across voice, SMS, and email. You will own a core product or infrastructure domain end to end, work directly with customers, and help shape product decisions as the team grows.
What You'll Do
Own a domain from architecture through daily production releases.
Talk with customers, synthesize feedback, and make product decisions without relying on a dedicated product manager.
Build and optimize agents across voice, SMS, and email, including low-latency voice experiences and persistent conversation state.
Set quality practices for non-deterministic systems, including evaluations, prompt versioning, guardrails, and drift detection.
Work across React and Next.js frontends, Node.js backends, and Python services.
What We're Looking For
Three to eight years of full-stack engineering experience, with a track record of shipping zero-to-one products at startups, large technology companies, or as a founder.
Strong production experience with TypeScript, Node.js, React, and Next.js, plus experience with Python services.
Hands-on experience building production systems with LLM APIs or agent SDKs.
Depth in at least one area such as voice or SMS agents, agent state and memory, evaluations and guardrails, or B2B2C and marketplace products.
Experience with low-latency systems, customer discovery, and making product decisions independently.
Strong computer science fundamentals; founder experience with demonstrated traction is also valued.
Availability for occasional intense work periods during launches or major customer milestones.
Compensation & Benefits
Compensation is $180,000 to $250,000 USD annually. Visa sponsorship is not available.
