Founding Engineer

About the Role

An early-stage freight technology team is seeking a Founding Engineer to help shape its product and technical direction. You will combine hands-on full-stack development with customer conversations, turning operational needs into reliable AI-enabled software.

What You'll Do

• Lead customer conversations and translate what you learn into product features and technical strategy.

• Design and build full-stack applications while advancing the product's AI capabilities.

• Move prototypes and demos toward scalable, high-quality production systems.

• Make practical architecture decisions and help shape the product, technology, and company direction.

What We're Looking For

• At least 2 years of professional software engineering experience building and shipping production applications.

• Full-stack experience with Node.js, TypeScript, and React, plus backend development with Python.

• Hands-on experience with LLM design patterns, vector stores, and model fine-tuning.
