Senior EDI Developer
About the Role
This is a 10-month W-2 contract role for an experienced EDI developer to lead technical analysis, design, and implementation of EDI integrations and API projects. You will serve as a hands-on technical lead, driving code quality and mentoring junior developers within a globally distributed team.
What You'll Do
Translate solution designs into production-ready EDI integration implementations.
Enforce code quality standards and ensure adherence to development best practices.
Provide technical leadership and mentoring to junior developers, including conducting code reviews.
Collaborate effectively with globally distributed teams on integration and API projects.
Troubleshoot and resolve complex production issues, providing clear technical guidance throughout.
What We're Looking For
8 to 10 years of hands-on experience with IBM Sterling Integrator (v5.2.6 or above).
Solid background in EDI development, maintenance, support, and monitoring.
Experience developing IBM Sterling business processes.
EDI mapping expertise across X12, EDIFACT, XML, cXML, CSV, JSON, and flat files.
Proficiency with communication protocols including FTP, SFTP, AS2, and VAN.
Experience with DB2, SQL, XML, XSLT, web services, and REST APIs.
Strong understanding of EDI architecture, encryption, authentication, monitoring, scalability, and availability.
Demonstrated experience leading distributed teams technically, including mentoring and code reviews.
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Compensation & Benefits
Rate: up to $60/hour on W-2. Visa sponsorship is not available for this role.
Location
Fully remote, must be based in the United States.
