US Founding Engineer
About the Role
Join a small engineering team building core banking systems and financial infrastructure for digital assets and modern financial services. As a founding engineer for US operations, you will help shape the systems and technical decisions that support reliable money movement at scale.
What You'll Do
Ship production code early while learning the codebase, product, and banking domain.
Lead engineering projects from initial design through production as an individual contributor.
Turn complex financial and banking requirements into reliable software that works at scale.
Make decisions about system design, data modeling, and architecture.
Work with engineering, product, and clients to evolve core banking systems.
Build simple, maintainable systems that automate operational challenges.
What We're Looking For
At least 3 years of hands-on backend software engineering experience.
At least 1 year of experience in an early-stage or small startup.
Strong coding skills and a track record of shipping and iterating on reliable software.
A high level of ownership and comfort working in new problem spaces without a playbook.
Interest in building core banking systems and financial infrastructure.
Experience with banking systems or financial infrastructure is valuable.
Compensation & Benefits
Base salary of $200,000 to $400,000 annually, plus equity. Benefits include medical, dental, and vision insurance and a 401(k) plan. Relocation support is available. Visa sponsorship is not available.
