Salary Range: $55,000 - $72,000
The Compliance Coordinator supports the company's supplier diversity and workforce outreach initiatives. This role works closely with Procurement, Operations, Business Development, and Compliance teams to expand opportunities for underrepresented businesses, strengthen community partnerships, support workforce development programs, and ensure reporting and compliance requirements are met.
Responsibilities / Essential Functions
- Support the administration and implementation of MWBE, DBE, SDVOB, workforce diversity, and other compliance programs across public and private sector projects.
- Monitor subcontractor compliance with contractual, client, local, state, and federal utilization and workforce participation requirements.
- Prepare and maintain MWBE, SDVOB, DBE, workforce, and related compliance reports for clients, agencies, and internal stakeholders.
- Track subcontractor utilization, workforce participation, and payment information to ensure reporting accuracy and compliance with project requirements.
- Verify certification eligibility and maintain accurate records of certified diverse business enterprises and approved suppliers.
- Conduct and perform good faith effort verification.
- Coordinate with project teams, Procurement, Preconstruction, and subcontractors to support compliance goals and increase participation by certified diverse firms.
- Assist with subcontractor outreach, bidder engagement, and documentation of good faith efforts.
- Maintain outreach records, good faith efforts documentation, utilization reports, workforce data, and supporting documentation.
- Coordinate and participate in outreach events, workforce development initiatives, industry forums, and stakeholder meetings that support compliance and business inclusion objectives.
- Build and maintain relationships with community organizations, workforce development agencies, certification entities, educational institutions, and advocacy groups.
- Provide administrative support for compliance programs, including meeting coordination, recordkeeping, and stakeholder communications.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Key Skills
- Experience working in the construction, engineering, or infrastructure industry.
- Familiarity with public-sector projects and UBE and Workforce compliance requirements.
- Interest in community engagement, workforce development, and supplier diversity initiatives.
- Knowledge of MWBE, DBE, SDVOB, and workforce participation programs.
- Experience with software applications that support UBE and workforce compliance activities, including Textura, and LCP Tracker
Required Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Construction Management, Public Administration, Communications, or a related field preferred.
- 1-3 years of experience in UBE compliance, workforce compliance, subcontractor and workforce engagement, procurement, construction administration, or a related field.
- Strong organizational, communication, and relationship-building skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
