Job Description
▪ Executes product strategies including value-selling based on customer needs and consistent with BA and segment strategies
▪ Identifies and analyzes specific market environments and trends to support and drive business strategies
▪ Defines market entry strategies and drives sourcing decisions (Make or Buy, footprint development)
▪ Provide strategic direction in alignment with segments and central functions based on BA strategy
▪ Support selected BA strategic projects as defined by Sector and BA Management (i.e, Business Field Portfolio Analysis, …)
▪ Support regional & global alignment
▪ Responsible for selected product portfolios on BA level, leading all necessary activities to meet BA targets with your assigned PDM team
▪ Manage systematic product portfolio and lifecycle aspects (product identification, launch, profitability guardiancy, phase out, setting of strategic price points, create product training materials)
▪ Driving product development/Technology and operations to implement the product portfolio and roadmap in the most successful and profitable way
▪ Identify and develop current and future value-selling opportunities
▪ Gather and share market intelligence
▪ Management of Product Master Data for product information management (PIM), product hierarchy and input for marketing activities
▪ Consolidates product requirements (incl. quality) based on input from segment or other sources.
▪ Interfaces with sales/application engineering, R&D, purchasing and operations for development of new products and optimization of existing product lines in accordance with customer and market needs
▪ Create business cases for strategic decision-making (e.g. new business opportunities, phase out)
▪ Support product portfolio topics and BA growth fields, strategy, business models, white spots, foster standardization
▪ Shared responsible for product portfolio transformation including execution
▪ Support BA and Group Sector projects and process activities
▪ Leading selected projects and project teams to achieve successful completion of the project objectives in terms of timing, scope, financial and quality requirements
Qualifications
▪ Bachelor or Masters degree in Engineering, Economics or similar field
▪ 3+ years professional experience in a B2B environment in at least one of the following functional areas: Product Management, Sales, Marketing, Product Development/Application Engineering or Project Management prefered in Automotive Aftermarket indusry
▪ Experienced in automotive products
▪ Proven classic and agile project management and project leadership experience
▪ Proven ability to successfully work in highly diverse global teams
▪ Excellent multicultural communication and networking skills
▪ Language skills: highly proficient user of English language (written & spoken)
▪ Flexibility and willingness for domestic and international business travels
