Job Description
As Safety & Health Coordinator EMEA, you will play a key role in driving safety excellence across our manufacturing and non-manufacturing locations in the EMEA region. Acting as the regional focal point for all Safety & Health (S&H) matters, you will support the implementation of global standards, strengthen governance processes and foster a strong safety culture across multiple countries and functions.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Act as the central coordination point for S&H topics across EMEA;
- Facilitate collaboration between locations, central functions and S&H subject matter experts;
- Organize and moderate regional S&H meetings, workshops and knowledge-sharing forums;
- Build and maintain a strong internal and external S&H network;
- Support the implementation and continuous improvement of Group S&H standards and procedures;
- Drive consistency and best practices across sites;
- Conduct internal S&H audits throughout the EMEA region;
- Support locations in addressing audit findings and implementing corrective and preventive action plans;
- Contribute to assurance and compliance processes in line with ISO 45001 and regulatory requirements;
- Monitor regional S&H performance and support KPI improvement initiatives;
- Lead selected regional S&H projects and initiatives;
- Support investment planning related to regulatory compliance, risk reduction and performance improvement;
- Promote a proactive safety culture through awareness campaigns, onboarding activities and capability-building initiatives;
- Support incident investigations and the implementation of Lessons Learned;
- Participate in industry associations, working groups and professional networks to stay ahead of emerging Safety & Health developments and regulatory changes.
Qualifications
- University degree in Engineering, Occupational Safety, Environmental Health & Safety, or a comparable field;
- Auditor qualification (internal or external auditor) is highly desirable;
- 5+ years of professional experience in Occupational Safety & Health;
- Solid experience with ISO 45001 and S&H management systems;
- Proven experience in project management and working in multidisciplinary teams;
- Experience leading international projects, virtual teams, or functional networks;
- Expert knowledge of occupational S&H principles, regulations and management systems;
- Strong auditing and compliance management skills;
- Good understanding of industrial and manufacturing environments, ideally within automotive industry;
- Strong project management skills;
- Excellent communication, moderation, presentation and stakeholder management skills;
- Problem solving skills, with a structured and analytical mindset;
- Proficiency in English (verbal and written);
- Willingness to travel worldwide.
