Job Description

Do you enjoy working with data and building the foundations that turn raw information into meaningful insights?

Are you curious about what happens behind the scenes before data reaches a dashboard, report, or AI application? Coveo is looking for a Business Intelligence Developer intern to join our Business Intelligence team. Your mission? Help extract, transform, and structure data from across Coveo’s systems so it can be reliably used by analysts and teams across the business.

The Business Intelligence team makes trusted data accessible to teams across Coveo, supporting everything from executive reporting to HR, Marketing, Finance, and other business functions. As an intern, you’ll gain hands-on experience with modern data technologies, collaborate with both technical and business stakeholders, and learn how strong data foundations support reporting, analytics, and AI use cases.

Your impact, day to day:

  • Extract raw data from business systems and transform it into structured, reliable datasets for analysts and stakeholders.
  • Contribute to integrating Workday data into Snowflake, helping make it more accessible to teams across Coveo.
  • Build and improve data transformation pipelines using Snowflake and dbt.
  • Structure and model data through multiple stages to prepare it for reporting, analytics, and AI use cases.
  • Collaborate with BI analysts and internal stakeholders to understand their data needs and develop solutions that support them.
  • Share progress, challenges, and ideas with your mentor and team during regular check-ins.

The Essentials:

  • You are currently studying Business, Commerce, Management, Software Engineering, or a related program at the Bachelor’s level or higher in the province of Québec.
  • You are able to work from our office 2 days a week. Our hybrid work model offers flexibility, you can benefit from face-to-face learning from your team on office days while home days allow you to focus and complete complex work.
  • You are legally entitled to work full-time in Canada for the duration of the 15 week internship.

Think you’ve got what it takes? Let’s see!

  • You have completed at least one previous internship and are comfortable jumping into technical projects with growing independence.
  • You have hands-on experience with Snowflake through coursework, a previous internship, or another technical project.
  • You have experience extracting, transforming, and structuring raw data to make it available for downstream analysis.
  • You understand the fundamentals of data modeling and how data moves through different stages before reaching its end users.
  • Experience with dbt (data build tool) is an asset; if it’s new to you, you’re eager to learn it.
  • You are curious about modern data architecture, including semantic layers and how data can be structured to support BI and AI use cases.
