Want to grow your tax expertise while taking ownership of meaningful work in an international technology company? As a Tax Specialist, you’ll support Coveo’s tax activities, working with colleagues across Finance to deliver accurate, timely results while steadily building your autonomy and expertise.
You’ll take ownership of day-to-day tax activities and serve as a primary point of contact for tax matters across the organization. Through hands-on involvement in compliance, reporting and analysis, you’ll build a strong understanding of Coveo’s operations and evolving tax environment while identifying opportunities to improve and streamline the way we work.
As our Tax Specialist, you will:
- Coordinate the preparation and review of corporate income tax returns, tax provisions and other tax compliance requirements in collaboration with external advisors
- Manage Coveo’s transfer pricing activities across applicable jurisdictions, including supporting calculations, documentation and intercompany arrangements.
- Manage tax credits and other government assistance programs, from forecasting through claim preparation, filing and audit support.
- Ensure the timely and accurate preparation and filing of indirect tax returns and other recurring tax obligations across applicable jurisdictions.
- Research tax matters, assess their implications for Coveo and recommend appropriate courses of action, escalating complex or judgmental matters when appropriate.
- Prepare tax calculations, reconciliations, supporting documentation and analyses required for financial reporting and other tax-related activities.
Here is what will qualify you for the role:
- A university degree in accounting, finance, taxation or another relevant field, combined with relevant experience in tax or accounting.
- 2+ years of experience in corporate taxation and an ability to apply that knowledge to moderately complex assignments with growing independence.
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail and the ability to organize your work effectively while managing deadlines.
- Clear communication and collaboration skills, with the confidence to ask questions, seek feedback and contribute solutions.
What will make you stand out:
- Exposure to Canadian corporate income tax, indirect taxes or tax provisions.
- Experience working in a public accounting firm or within the tax or finance function of a corporation.
- Interest in improving processes and using technology to make tax activities more efficient and reliable.
- Curiosity about the tax considerations of a growing international technology company.
