Credence has an immediate need for a Systems Engineer to perform systems engineering for the ALTNAV program and support Army Project Manager Positioning, Navigation, and Timing products. The position provides direct systems engineering, risk management, integrated master scheduling, configuration management, and program management support across the system life cycle.
Overview
- Develop, implement, and maintain systems engineering processes and documents, including systems engineering plans, configuration management plans, risk management plans, and integrated master plans
- Attend PM PNT program reviews, including Software Specification Reviews, Systems Requirements Reviews, System Functional Reviews, Preliminary Design Reviews, Critical Design Reviews, Production Readiness Reviews, Functional Configuration Audits, and Physical Configuration Audits, as well as pre-review and post-review events
- Attend integrated product team and working group meetings and provide recommendations for systems engineering, testing, and other improvements
- Provide systems engineering support for classified and unclassified PM PNT products and documentation, including risk identification and management; system configuration management; concept development; requirements analysis, development, derivation, and documentation; systems design and architecture; modeling and simulation; integration, test, and evaluation; hardware and software validation; host-platform integration; and field demonstrations
- Manage, implement, conduct, review, and update documentation used to integrate classified and unclassified PM PNT products with client systems on Army platforms
- Evaluate operational benefits and constraints, integration, interoperability with current and emerging warfighting capabilities, sustainment, and doctrine, organization, training, materiel, leadership and education, personnel, and facilities impacts
- Provide support in accordance with Department of Defense guidance and regulations and the systems engineering principles of Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers Standard 1220
- Develop, review, and update systems engineering processes and documents, including systems engineering plans, configuration management plans, risk management plans, Department of Defense Architecture Framework products, and integrated master plans, and deliver them according to the PM PNT product integrated master schedule
- Review and provide input for acquisition documentation staffed through PM PNT leadership
- Support concept development, sensor design, system design, system architecture, hardware, software and network integration, host-platform integration, modeling and simulation, test and evaluation, hardware and software validation, experimentation, and demonstrations of PM PNT products or technologies
- Identify and assess improvements to existing products and applications, as well as requirements, materiel solutions, and applications for emerging PNT and augmentation technologies, strategies, tactics, and training
- Support all phases of the system program life cycle to help ensure the system is technically achievable within PM PNT product cost goals and schedule
- Provide input for statements of objectives, statements of work, performance work statements, performance specifications, and associated solicitation documentation, and provide technical advice and assistance for proposal evaluations
- Review data artifacts for acceptability, ensure product-data relationships are maintained, and establish and maintain databases that help PM PNT staff develop and track PNT requirements at all levels in support of customer requirements analysis, product planning, systems engineering, and configuration management.
Expected duties include, but are not limited to...
- Manage the systems engineering model; prepare for engineering review boards; lead TIR scoring reviews; review and validate engineering change proposals; conduct configuration management; review software patches; and conduct failure securing reviews
- Create, modify, and review engineering and acquisition documentation to meet program milestones and system requirements
- Attend product, platform, vendor, and client meetings and reviews; assess vendor progress; and provide input to the assistant product manager on solutions to technical problems within the program
- Interface with external stakeholder organizations that contribute to the product's system-of-systems approach
- Update program documentation and briefings to incorporate technical information and strategies
- Provide overall management of engineering tasks and refine future enhancements for the diverse technical aspects of the ALTNAV program
- Provide technical input to overall program cost estimates
- Collaborate with stakeholders to create standard operating procedures for system health monitoring, failures, and mitigation plans.
- Active secret security clearance is required
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or a systems engineering field with seven (7) years of systems engineering experience for Department of Defense systems, or a Master's degree with five (5) years of systems engineering experience for Department of Defense systems
Salary Range: $130,000- $170,000 annually. Actual compensation will be determined based on the selected candidate's experience, education, skills, and overall qualifications.
