Global AV Events and Production Engineer
Fastly is a leading technology company dedicated to providing a better, faster internet experience. We're seeking an AV (Audio-Visual) Events and Production Engineer to elevate our company event experiences — someone who can both keep day-to-day AV reliable and build a long-term program for Fastly's global AV footprint as we scale.
This role supports the operation of the company's voice, wire, and computer data services. Maintains documentation on network configuration, mapping, processes, and service. Conducts research on network products, services, protocols, and standards. Troubleshoots problems, configures and tests networks. May install and repair new and upgraded voice/wire systems, data terminals, and networks.
What You'll Do:
- Provide on-site AV support and live streaming for company events — All Hands, Sales Kickoff, Company Kickoff, QBRs, Exec Summit, and more
- Lead the design, installation, and configuration of AV systems across our global office footprint, partnering with Workplace on new builds, upgrades, and decommissions
- Serve as the primary internal liaison with external AV vendors for customer-facing events, and provide expert-level support to our Communications and Events team
- Develop and maintain AV standards, documentation, and training so the broader support team can troubleshoot and maintain systems confidently
- Maintain conference room AV systems and our global equipment inventory through regular upkeep, and evaluate new AV products via pilots to guide future investment
What We're Looking For:
- 5+ years of experience in the AV space, including designing and deploying integrated AV systems across global corporate offices
- A track record of building trust with both internal stakeholders and external vendors
- Experience scoping large efforts, prioritizing competing demands, and negotiating timelines
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work independently across multiple priorities
- Familiarity with ticketing systems (Jira a plus) and VC platforms (Zoom, Teams)
We’ll be super impressed if you have experience in any of these:
- Holding a certification in A/V technology
- Using data-driven metrics to guide AV technology investment and measure program performance
- Translating stakeholder requirements into an actionable roadmap and driving improvements at both the local office and global program level
- Running technology pilots and evaluations that directly informed adoption decisions
- Consulting directly with event organizers on technical requirements and keeping them informed before and during live events

- This position will require you to be available during core business hours.

Salary
The estimated salary range for this position is 119,880.00 to $159,840.00.
Starting salary may vary based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors such as experience, skills, qualifications, and location.
This role may be eligible to participate in Fastly’s equity and discretionary bonus programs.
