ROLE OVERVIEW:

The Structural Steel Detailer produces the shop drawings that everything else for the client depends on. Nothing is cut, fabricated, or erected until the detailing is done and approved, so the role sits directly on the critical path of every project. The client fabricates and erects structural steel for commercial and industrial projects up to 100 tonnes, from seismic strengthening in trading supermarkets to store refurbishments and new builds. Around 1,500 tonnes a year across 15 to 25 live jobs at any time, plus hook bin work under Beachcroft out of the same Otahuhu workshop. This is the second detailing position.
