Project Manager (Power Systems)
Our client is an established dealer of new and used diesel and natural gas generators, supplying units from under 150 kW through multi-megawatt packages across Caterpillar, Cummins, Kohler, MTU and other major OEMs. What sets them apart is their in-house capability: nearly every unit that leaves their facility has been load bank tested, reconditioned, painted, modified and configured by their own shop, then delivered directly to the customer's site. Order volume is growing, and the company is adding a dedicated Project Manager to keep that growth on schedule.
The opportunity
This is a brand-new role and a genuine chance to build the project management function from the ground up. Today, the owners are carrying day-to-day project execution themselves. This hire takes full ownership of every order from the moment sales hands it off to the moment it lands at the customer's site, freeing ownership to focus on growing the business.
The right person has lived inside generator work, whether as a technician or on the manufacturing side, and knows what it actually takes to move a unit through testing, rework, enclosure and controls modification, and delivery. They don't wait for problems to surface. They see them coming and make things happen to keep every project on track.
