24/7 Data Centre Technician

As a Data Centre Technician, you'll be part of the team responsible for supporting the critical infrastructure that powers some of New Zealand's leading organisations. You'll gain hands-on experience working with servers, networks, cabling, telecommunications equipment, and enterprise technology environments while learning from experienced industry professionals.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to start a career in technology infrastructure. No previous Data Centre experience is required. We'll provide the training, support, and development needed to help you succeed.
Based at our Orbit Data Centre in Rosedale, Auckland, you'll work as part of a supportive team delivering 24/7 operational services to our customers through a rotating day and night shift roster.
What You'll Be Doing
Over time, you'll be trained to:
- Provide first-level technical support for Datacom's Data Centre customers.
- Install and maintain servers, network equipment, telecommunications hardware, and cabling.
- Perform "remote hands" support activities on behalf of customers.
- Monitor systems, alerts, and operational processes, escalating issues where required.
- Support Data Centre operations, asset management, and change activities.
- Assist with incident response and service restor
