Team / division overview
As a Data Analyst within Corporate Functions Technology, you will perform a broad role supporting data-driven regulatory, business, and strategic initiatives across Corporate Functions. Working closely with business and technology stakeholders, you will analyse data, controls, and processes, provide insights to support decision-making, contribute to governance activities, and help deliver regulatory, audit, and transformation programmes.
Your responsibilities –
As an Data Analyst, Associate, you will:
- Perform data analysis, reconciliations, impact assessments, and data validation and control assessment activities to support business, regulatory, audit, and process, policy, and regulatory initiatives
- Analyse data, controls, business processes, and project deliverables to identify trends, risks, gaps, dependencies, and opportunities for improvement.
- Translate business and regulatory requirements into data-driven insights and support the delivery of strategic data initiatives including contributing to systems analysis and design where required.
- Support Data Quality issue identification, root cause analysis, tracking, and remediation activities.
- Support Data Governance activities, including Critical Data Elements (CDEs), data lineage, metadata management, and control documentation.
- Coordinate with business and technology stakeholders to support project delivery, regulatory commitments, and resolution of data-related issues, by maintaining clear plans, tracking actions, and driving follow-through.
- Prepare management reports, dashboards, presentations, and status updates for governance forums and management.
We are looking for
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience in data analysis, reporting, and stakeholder coordination.
- Knowledge of SQL, Power BI, and Python is advantageous.
- Experience working with integrations, interface specifications, data warehouses, data pipelines would be advantageous
- Exposure to system design principles, architecture patterns, and integration techniques would be advantageous
- Knowledge of Data Quality, Data Governance, or Regulatory Reporting concepts is advantageous.
- Experience working with business analysts, data engineers, developers and architects
- Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Experience within financial services or a regulatory environment is preferred.
- Proven ability to leverage AI tools to enhance productivity, optimise workflows to solve business problems, while applying critical judgment to ensure responsible and ethical use of data and AI outputs.
