Prestressing Operator - Journeyman

Duties & Responsibilities: Establishes crews, assigns responsibilities, and ensures that the work is completed in accordance with DN Tanks safety/quality programs and meets budgeted man-hours. Reviews and understands the overall job schedule and budget. This information assists with developing crew sizes and durations. Reads and interprets tank/contract drawings to ensure work is performed according to specifications. Checks and confirms wall penetration locations and anchor tree elevations. Reviews prestressing drawing to confirm the sequencing of prestressing and number of spools needed. In the absence of the Superintendent, starts up/sets up a project including, mobilizing and erecting the tower, inspecting the tank, and setting up the connex trailer. In the absence of the Superintendent, closes out a project by dismantling the machine, properly loading the machine onto trucks, organizing and securing the connex and calling all equipment off rent. Leads the quality control (QC) program by taking ownership of the quality inspections. Leads the equipment inspections and promptly notifies the Superintendent of any concerns or damage with the machine. Properly documents required work orders and reports them to the Superintendent or Equipment Manager. Works with the Superintendent or Project Manager to complete all required paperwork for the project including SIS schedule, equipment and QC photos, weekly safety inspection report, timesheets, and equipme
