About the Opportunity:
We are seeking an experienced, proactive, and highly motivated Public Safety Manager to support the Houston Downtown Management District's (HDMD) Clean & Safe Program. This position plays a key role in maintaining a safe, welcoming, and vibrant Downtown Houston by overseeing daily public safety operations, coordinating contracted security providers, public safety ambassadors, outreach partners, and law enforcement agencies.
Reporting to the Deputy Director of Public Safety, the ideal candidate will be a resourceful, hands-on professional with strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills. Key responsibilities include coordinating field operations, monitoring contractor performance, responding to public safety concerns, supporting special events, and identifying opportunities to improve operational effectiveness.
Work Schedule: This is a full-time, salaried position with a regular schedule of 3:00 PM to 12:00 AM. Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, special events, and respond to emergencies outside scheduled hours is required.
Salary: This position has a salary range of $93,814 to $102,684.
