About the role We run one of the most diverse database estates in the business, spanning Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL and MongoDB, hosted across multiple data centres You'll keep this estate healthy, secure and fast, and you'll play a real part general migration efforts. This isn't a "keep the lights on and nothing else" job. Half your time is operations, half is projects that actually move the needle. What you'll actually do Administer, tune and support production and non-production databases across Oracle, MS SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL and MongoDB. Handle incidents, service requests, change requests and vulnerability remediation through ServiceNow, following ITIL practice. Build and improve monitoring and observability using Splunk, Zabbix and OpenTelemetry-based database metrics. Automate the boring stuff, patching and provisioning via Ansible, GitHub and NinjaOne.
