Ready to make a real impact on sustainability and innovation in the energy sector? At EDF, Success is Personal. Join our Assurance, Risk and Insight (Supply Chain) Industrial Placement and help shape the future of energy while building a career that’s unique to you.

"My placement supporting the HPC project has been both challenging and rewarding. Through collaborating with suppliers, project managers and stakeholders across the business, I've developed valuable commercial, analytical and communication skills while contributing to a programme of national importance. The experience has not only accelerated my professional development but has also confirmed that this is the career path I want to pursue, making HPC an exciting and fulfilling place to learn and grow.” Rayna, Commercial Team Industrial Placement.

The Opportunity

This Assurance, Risk and Insight (Supply Chain) Industrial Placement is expected to begin in early September 2027 and offers a starting salary of £26,050, with the opportunity to support one of the UK's most significant energy infrastructure programmes.

During this 12-month placement, you'll gain hands-on experience across assurance, risk, insight and supply chain activities. Working alongside experienced professionals, you'll develop commercial, analytical and stakeholder management skills while contributing to a business that's driving the transition towards An Electric Britain.

What You’ll Experience

Being part of Hinkley Point C means helping to shape the future of low-carbon energy. You'll contribute to a project that will provide clean electricity for millions of homes while supporting the UK's energy security.

During your Assurance, Risk and Insight (Supply Chain Directorate) Industrial Placement, you'll support the delivery of Hinkley Point C by helping manage contracts, supplier relationships and governance processes. You'll gain exposure to the wider Supply Chain function and develop a strong understanding of procurement, contract management and commercial delivery.

You'll contribute to data analysis, progress reporting, supplier engagement, risk management and strategic procurement activities. You may also support supplier conferences, tendering activities, negotiations and supply chain strategy development while gaining valuable experience using data and insight to support business decisions and continuous improvement.

Your Work Location

Depending on your skill set and development ambitions, you'll be based at #Bristol (Aztec West), working alongside teams supporting the delivery of Hinkley Point C (transport to the Hinkley Point C site is provided from several collection points) and wider supply chain activities.

This on-site placement will give you the opportunity to collaborate with stakeholders across the organisation, develop your professional network and gain exposure to one of the UK's most significant infrastructure programmes.

Who You Are

To be eligible for this EDF Industrial Placement, you need to be studying towards, or have already achieved, a bachelor's or postgraduate degree in Business, Economics, Mathematics, Engineering, Geography, Science, Supply Chain and Logistics, or a closely related discipline. You'll have an interest in risk management, commercial analysis, procurement and business performance.

To be appointed to this role, you will need to meet the criteria for Security Vetting, which will, ordinarily, require you to have been a resident of the UK for at least three of the past five years.

Pay, Benefits and Culture

Alongside a starting salary of £26,050 per annum and a market-leading pension scheme, your package will include customisable benefits such as electric vehicle leasing, discounted gym membership, life assurance, tech vouchers, experience days, and more.
