Assistant Professor, Psychology (Tenure Track)

The Department of Psychology at Elmhurst University invites applications for a tenure-track, assistant professor position with an emphasis in Cognitive Neuroscience, broadly defined, beginning August 2027. The successful candidate will have demonstrated potential for excellence in undergraduate teaching and mentoring, and outstanding potential as a professor in a comprehensive liberal arts setting. The candidate will need to teach upper-level courses related to their area of expertise (including Cognitive Neuroscience), as well as lower-level methodology courses (such as Research Methods in Psychology), and other courses depending on candidate ability and department need as part of a 3/3 load. Preference will be given to candidates who can adapt their research program to a small, liberal arts environment and involve undergraduate students in their research. In addition, faculty are expected to contribute to the Department and University through service activities and advising.
