Supply Chain & Procurement Specialist
Endeavour is looking for a motivated Supply Chain & Procurement Specialist, to be a key part of our team running sourcing and purchasing for GridTran's hardware products, working closely with Engineering, New Product Introduction (NPI), and Finance/Accounting teams to support product development, on-site NPI line manufacturing, and transition to contract mass manufacturing. In this hands-on role, you will build and manage GridTran's on-shore, near-shore, and global supplier base. The ideal candidate will source the components, materials, equipment, and services behind each development, prototype, and pilot-production build, and negotiate pricing, lead time, payment terms, and total cost of ownership (TCO), supporting Statements of Work (SOW) and Master Service Agreements (MSA) with Legal and Finance. The goal is a lean, cost-effective, and resilient supply chain that moves at startup speed.
The Supply Chain & Procurement Specialist has a proven track record of fast component and subassembly procurement in a power electronics or electronics equipment manufacturing startup or rapid NPI environment, where requirements change weekly, and one stalled Purchase Order (PO) can stall a build. You will be GridTran's working link to Accounts Payable (AP) and accounting staff at Endeavour, GridTran's parent organization. That means moving every purchase cleanly through the parent's approval, payment, and reconciliation systems, and keeping its status visible to team leaders and leadership at all times. The role's scope is built to grow with GridTran.
Endeavour is highly selective about the people we bring on board because our ecosystem depends on it. Change happens quickly here, and we must maintain a strong team of honest, communicative, collaborative, open-minded, strategic, reliable, and driven team members. We seek ultra-creatives and superstar performers with self-awareness, a sense of humility, and a hunger to make a positive impact in the world. Endeavour offers flexibility and endless growth opportunities to those who can harness their skills and talents and identify how and where to use them to add value. Our support team is the heart of the ecosystem. We’re a diverse group of bright, passionate, dedicated people, working together to make a real difference. Are you ready to join the journey?
Key Responsibilities
Include but are not limited to:
- End-to-End Purchase Execution: Turn engineering/NPI requisitions and Bills of Materials (BOMs) into Requests for Quotation (RFQs), compare quotes, and place POs. Own each order from placement through delivery, balancing cost, lead time, and build-schedule needs.
- Parent-Organization AP & Accounting Coordination: Work directly with Endeavour's AP and accounting teams to route and actively track purchases through approval workflows, set up new vendors, process prepayments, and resolve invoice holds and matching exceptions so every order closes cleanly.
- Purchase/Expenses Tracking & Visibility: Keep a live tracker of every open order from approval through payment, and flag risks to the build schedule before they turn into delays.
- Expediting & Lead-Time Management: Chase long-lead and constrained parts early, and actively problem-solve with engineering and NPI.
- Supplier Sourcing, Onboarding & Build Readiness: Find and qualify new suppliers for prototype, low-volume production, and mass manufacturing. Before each build stage, confirm suppliers can meet quantity, quality, and schedule requirements.
- Commercial Negotiation: Negotiate pricing, lead time, minimum order quantities (MOQs), and payment terms on single buys and blanket orders. Negotiate one-time tooling and non-recurring engineering (NRE) charges. Support SOW, Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA), and MSA execution with Legal and Finance.
- Receiving, Logistics & Issue Resolution: Coordinate inbound shipping and receiving, and manage import paperwork and tariff impacts on international buys. When delivery, cost, or quality problems come up, escalate them to engineering and the supplier and drive corrective action through to closure.
- Process Building: Set up lightweight procurement processes that scale with GridTran without slowing engineering down, including templates, approval thresholds, preferred-supplier lists, and budget tracking.
Education and Experience
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent hands-on procurement experience.
- Experience: 5+ years of hands-on procurement, purchasing, or supply chain experience for electronic, electro-mechanical, or industrial hardware.
- Relevant Experience with Power Conversion Products: Experience buying and sourcing printed circuit boards for power conversion systems, including RFQ, fabrication, assembly, BOM sourcing, and shipping.
- Startup / NPI Pace: Demonstrated success buying for prototype or NPI programs with frequent design changes, short lead times, and incomplete requirements.
- Procure-to-Pay Fluency: Working knowledge of the full procure-to-pay cycle, from requisition through invoice matching and payment, with a track record of working well with AP and accounting teams to close out orders and resolve discrepancies.
- Systems: Proficiency with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and Material Requirements Planning (MRP) systems, plus advanced Excel for tracking and reporting.
- Ownership & Communication: Self-directed and comfortable owning outcomes with minimal process. A clear, fast communicator with engineers, suppliers, and finance staff alike.
- Travel: Willing to travel occasionally for supplier visits (up to ~10%).
Specific Skills / Abilities
- Able to read BOMs, datasheets, and engineering drawings well enough to catch obvious procurement errors.
- Experience building should-cost models, estimating a part's expected cost from its material, labor, and overhead, to negotiate from data.
- Experience in a subsidiary or portfolio-company structure, working through a parent organization's shared finance and procurement services.
- Experience with procurement or spend-management platforms.
- Familiarity with import/export compliance, Incoterms (standard international shipping terms), and tariff mitigation.
- CPSM (Certified Professional in Supply Management) or CSCP (Certified Supply Chain Professional) certification.
