Sell what you know to the people you know
Feedlot operators make high-stakes decisions every day, on cost of gain, closeouts, breakevens, and margins. Feedlot IQ helps them make those decisions with better data and more confidence, and we need someone in the field who can show them how.
As our Feedlot IQ Account Executive, you'll build the sales motion for a new product in the beef feedlot market. You'll spend your days in the yard and at the office table with owners, managers, nutritionists, and vets, finding where the money is and proving it. This is a ground-floor role with real ownership: the territory, the relationships, and the results are yours.
What you'll do
Win new business
- Build and run your own territory plan covering priority feedlots, referral sources, industry partners, and events
- Fill your pipeline through field visits, demos, partner introductions, and the relationships you've already built
- Lead deals from first conversation to signed agreement, with sharp forecasting and clean CRM records
Prove the value
- Learn each operation's priorities and financial goals, then position Feedlot IQ around the decisions that matter most to them
- Set account baselines and document measurable outcomes, so customer success stories come from real numbers
- Help customers turn Feedlot IQ insights into practical actions that improve performance and profitability
Own the relationship
- Stay with your customers after the sale, working with our Product, implementation, and technical teams on onboarding, adoption, and renewal
- Spot expansion opportunities (more sites, more users, cross-sell within Ever.Ag) and risks early
- Bring field feedback back to Product, so what you hear from customers shapes what we build next
What you bring
- Proven field sales success, including prospecting independently, closing new business, and meeting or exceeding revenue goals
- Deep knowledge of beef feedlot operations and existing relationships in the feedlot industry
- Fluency in feedlot economics: cost of gain, closeouts, breakeven, margins, and how management decisions affect the bottom line
- The credibility to earn trust with owners, managers, veterinarians, nutritionists, and other decision-makers
- Strong organization across multiple prospects and accounts, with clear next steps and a disciplined CRM habit
- A valid driver's license and willingness to travel up to 70% of the time
Bonus points
- Bachelor's degree in animal science, nutrition, agriculture, business, or a related field (equivalent industry and sales experience counts)
- Experience with SaaS, analytics, or data-driven solutions
- Experience supporting customer adoption, renewals, or account expansion
How you'll succeed here
- Commercial drive: You create urgency, build pipeline on your own, and see deals through to a decision.
- Customer focus: You know how feedlots run and connect product features to real operational and financial value.
- Accountability: You do what you say, keep forecasts honest, and own your commitments.
- Business acumen: You can explain how health, nutrition, and financial drivers affect performance in plain terms.
- Collaboration: You work well with Product, technical, and commercial teammates to give customers one consistent experience.
- Communication: You run strong demos and document decisions and next steps clearly.
