Job Description

NO THIRD PARTIES WILL BE CONSIDERED

Hybrid position: Three days per week in IRVINE, CA

We are looking for a Commercial Operations Technical Product Owner who can support the Sales & Commercial Operations team and someone who understands:

  1. How sales organizations operate.
  2. How technology enables sales execution.
  3. CRM, quoting, pricing, and contracting processes.           
  4. Agile delivery and cross-functional squad leadership.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own the product backlog and roadmap for sales/commercial technology initiatives
  • Lead agile delivery across a cross-functional squad
  • Partner with commercial operations, sales enablement, and business stakeholders
  • Manage intake, prioritization, and execution of projects
  • Support future team design and organizational planning
  • Help shape team structure, staffing, and operating models
  • Coordinate across developers, analysts, testing resources, and technical leadership

Technology Environment

Primary Platforms

  • Salesforce Sales Cloud – must have
  • Salesforce CPQ
  • Conga CLM / CPQ
  • Power Apps

Supporting Tools

  • Jira
  • Confluence
  • Agile/Scrum methodologies

Qualifications

Nice-to-Have Platforms

  • Microsoft Dynamics CRM (future strategic direction)
  • Zaidyn (sales compensation)
  • Rebate Management tools

Must Have

Commercial / Sales Operations Domain Knowledge

Strong understanding of:

  • Sales processes
  • Sales enablement
  • Pricing
  • Quoting
  • Contract lifecycle management
  • CRM systems
  • Commercial operations functions

Current/recent experience with Salesforce Sales Cloud

Product Ownership Experience

  • Product Owner / Technical Product Owner background
  • Agile delivery leadership
  • Backlog management
  • Stakeholder management
  • Team leadership

Technical Acumen

Not necessarily hands-on technical, but should understand:

  • System integrations
  • SDLC
  • Agile delivery
  • Software development teams
  • Business process design

 Industry Experience

  • Healthcare, MedTech, Life Sciences, or Medical Device experience
  • Salesforce ecosystem experience
  • CPQ and CLM expertise
  • Compensation management experience
  • CRM migration experience
  • Dynamics CRM exposure

Stakeholder Environment

Primary stakeholders include:

  • Commercial Operations
  • Sales Enablement
  • Sales Leadership
  • Business Process Owners
  • Compensation Teams
  • Commercial Technology Partners

 Current Challenges

  • Significant workload and demand influx
  • Need for someone to help manage projects immediately
  • Buildout of a more mature squad structure for 2027 planning - you will help shape the team
  • Evaluation of onshore vs. nearshore delivery models
  • Desire to consolidate commercial technology capabilities into dedicated teams
