Job Description
Scope of Position
The LDS Church Customer Service Agent serves as the primary point of contact for the LDS Church account, ensuring exceptional customer service, operational coordination, compliance, and communication across customers, vendors, service providers, overseas offices, and the Expeditors network.
Customer Relationship Management
- Act as the primary customer service representative for LDS Church-related accounts and initiatives.
- Coordinate international shipment activity for purchase order, distribution, and project-based freight movements.
- Provide proactive communication regarding shipment status, exceptions, service challenges, and resolutions.
Shipment Coordination & Operational Support
- Monitor and manage shipment activity utilizing AEX Workboard, Export ETMS, EXPO reporting tools, and other company systems.
- Coordinate customer requests, service provider activities, and operational escalations.
Compliance & Process Management
- Maintain strict adherence to Expeditors policies, customer requirements, and applicable regulations.
- Ensure customer SOPs are documented, maintained, reviewed, and followed consistently.
Reporting & Account Administration
- Prepare and distribute customer reports, KPIs, and account performance metrics.
- Manage shipment documentation, record retention, and invoicing support.
Communication & Collaboration
- Manage overseas communications and coordinate with the Expeditors global network.
- Work cross-functionally with Operations, Compliance, Air Services, Customs Brokerage, Accounting, and Leadership teams.
Qualifications
Air Export Customer Service preferred qualifications:
- 6 months to 1 year of Expeditors Operational Experience
- Demonstrated customer service skills and proven interpersonal skills.
- IATA/FIATA
- LATAM Certification
- Hazardous Materials Certification
- Effective interpersonal skills - including the ability to listen, comprehend and to communicate clearly and concisely both verbally and in writing.
- Strong organizational and prioritization skills are critical.
- Must have the ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Proficient computer skills - Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint
- Proven background for excellent attendance.
