We are now looking for a talented and highly motivated

SUSTAINABILITY REPORTING LEAD

to be responsible for further developing an effective reporting process aligned with the European Sustainability Reporting Standards (ESRS). In your role, you will work in close cooperation especially with your colleagues in the sustainability team who are leading the sustainability work and providing the content for the Finnair Group’s environmental, social and governance (ESG) reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • ESRS Reporting Process Development: further develop ESRS reporting process that aligns with industry standards and best practices.

  • Data Gathering and Analysis: Collaborate with the content owners to collect, validate, and organize data required for sustainability reporting. Support with the data analysis for business insight and decision-making.

  • Reporting Accuracy: Monitor the accuracy and completeness of ESRS reports and take corrective actions as necessary in cooperation with the internal stakeholders.

  • Automation: Develop and implement automated reporting solutions to streamline the reporting process and reduce manual efforts.

  • Audit and Controls: Ensure proper reporting controls and compliance with the audit requirements. Act as the key contact for internal and external auditors to support efficient and smooth audit review processes.

  • Regulatory Compliance: Stay up to date with the relevant laws and regulations as well as the best practice solutions, ensuring that our reporting remains in compliance with all requirements. Participate in organizing of company-wide trainings.

  • Other: Other ad hoc tasks, including supporting the team and colleagues in other areas including accounting, finance, tax, sustainability and reporting.

Our expectations:

  • Master's or bachelor's degree in the areas of finance, accounting, sustainability, computer science or risk management.

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of work experience in a relevant field e.g. in financial or sustainability reporting, auditing or consulting.

  • Good knowledge (or basic knowledge and a passion to learn more) of the environmental, social, and governance standards and reporting frameworks (e.g., GRI, SASB, TCFD, CSRD, ESRS).

  • Understanding of the financial reporting standards and frameworks is considered highly beneficial.

  • Proficiency with IT systems and ability to develop reporting processes.

  • Proactive mindset and analytical problem-solving skills.

  • Experience in project management and ability to develop processes independently.

  • Excellent cross-functional communication and team working skills.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. Strong Finnish language skills are considered an asset.
