Head of IT Infrastructure and Security
About FIRY
FIRY (NYSE: FIRY) is a founder-led global holding company built to fuel business potential. Through three independent and complementary businesses, FIRY operates at the intersection of content, identity, commerce, and performance marketing.
Founded in 2012 by serial entrepreneur Andrew Paradise, the company began as Skillz Inc. — inventing real-money skill-based mobile gaming from scratch and proving that fair and competitive play could be built into mobile games at scale. Fourteen years later, that foundation has grown into three distinct businesses:
- Skillz is the competition platform FIRY invented. Real-money skill-based gaming infrastructure, with 90M+ registered users, and the foundational source of first-party behavioral data across the portfolio.
- RZR is the AI-powered performance advertising platform, rebuilt from the ground up and rebranded in March 2026. Profitable for three consecutive quarters.
- Beamable is the backend and LiveOps infrastructure for game developers, acquired in 2026. One platform covering everything a studio needs to build, operate, and grow a live game.
FIRY is publicly traded on the NYSE and headquartered in Las Vegas, with hubs in San Francisco, New York City, and Bengaluru.
About the Role
Firy (NYSE: FIRY) is a public technology company whose business runs on reliable, secure technology. In this executive role you’ll own enterprise technology, infrastructure and cybersecurity across the company.
We’re looking for a builder who can strengthen operations, establish strong governance, and turn technology risk into a roadmap the company can deliver. Firy is committed to continued investment in data and cybersecurity infrastructure, and you’ll lead that work.
You’ll drive value across the company by improving resilience and uptime, raising control and audit maturity, and getting the most from our technology spend and vendors. You’ll give Finance, Legal, Engineering and business leaders clear service levels and decision rights. You’ll also be the trusted voice on technology and cyber risk to the Security Council, Audit Committee and Board.
Responsibilities
- Set and execute Firy's enterprise IT and security strategy, multi-year roadmap, operating model, architecture principles, budget, and performance measures.
- Own reliable and secure corporate infrastructure, networks, cloud workplace platforms, identity, endpoints, collaboration tools, enterprise applications, service management, and asset lifecycle.
- Lead operational remediation and sustainable execution of ITGCs, including user and privileged access, segregation of duties, program change management, program operations, evidence retention, and issue tracking, in partnership with Finance and Internal Audit.
- Serve as Firy's senior cybersecurity operator and functional CISO, maintaining the risk register, security policies and standards, monitoring, vulnerability management, incident response, employee awareness, and executive reporting.
- Direct business continuity and disaster recovery planning, testing, lessons learned, and remediation for critical enterprise services and dependencies.
- Build risk-based third-party technology governance spanning diligence, contracting input, onboarding, monitoring, renewals, incident coordination, and exit planning.
- Partner with Engineering to define clear ownership at the boundary between corporate IT, cloud and platform infrastructure, product security, DevSecOps, and application security.
- Lead technology integration and separation planning for acquisitions, divestitures, subsidiaries, and material vendors, including identity, data, infrastructure, controls, and continuity.
- Lead, develop, and scale the internal team and managed service providers; establish service levels, documentation, on-call coverage, and a culture of accountable execution.
- Translate technology risk, investment choices, incidents, and performance into concise recommendations for the CAO, Security Council, executive leadership, Audit Committee, and Board, as applicable.
Key Competencies
- Builder and operator who can stabilize today's environment while designing a scalable future state.
- Risk-based judgment that balances security, availability, employee experience, cost, and delivery speed.
- SOX and controls fluency with the ability to convert requirements into practical system and process design.
- Technical breadth across cloud, networks, identity, endpoints, SaaS, enterprise applications, monitoring, security operations, and resilience.
- Executive communication that makes complex risks and tradeoffs clear to non-technical leaders and governance bodies.
- Cross-functional influence with Finance, Accounting, Internal Audit, Legal, People, Engineering, Procurement, and business leaders.
- Calm incident leadership, disciplined escalation, and strong written documentation.
- Player-coach, hands-on leadership with high standards, urgency, and the ability to develop a lean team and manage expert providers.
Experience
- 10 or more years of progressive leadership across enterprise IT, infrastructure, cybersecurity, or technology operations, including senior leadership in a technology or digital business.
- Demonstrated ownership of a broad enterprise IT environment and a cybersecurity program in a cloud-first, geographically distributed organization.
- Direct experience designing, remediating, and operating ITGCs in a public-company SOX environment, including access, change management, program operations, and IT-dependent controls.
- Experience leading material control remediation with Finance, Internal Audit, external audit, and technical control owners; able to distinguish operational ownership from independent assurance.
- Depth in IAM and privileged access, endpoint and device management, networks, AWS or comparable cloud platforms, SaaS governance, ITSM, logging and monitoring, vulnerability management, and incident response.
- Track record building business continuity and disaster recovery programs and running executive tabletop and recovery exercises.
- Experience with NIST CSF, ISO 27001, PCI, privacy requirements, and third-party risk. CISA, CISSP, CISM, or comparable certification is preferred but not a substitute for operating experience.
- Experience leading teams and managed service providers, owning budgets and vendor portfolios, and improving service quality while maintaining cost discipline.
- Experience supporting acquisitions, subsidiaries, or complex multi-entity environments is strongly preferred.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in information systems, computer science, cybersecurity, engineering, or a related field.

Why FIRY
- You are at the center of everything. Corporate roles at FIRY do not support one business. They support the infrastructure, strategy, and execution that makes three independent businesses work and compounds as they grow together.
- Founder-led. Andrew Paradise founded Skillz in 2012 with a single conviction: that fair, real-money skill-based competition should exist at scale. Thirteen years later, he has taken the company public on the NYSE, built a portfolio of three independent businesses, earned 90+ patents, and won the largest false advertising verdict in U.S. history. He is still here, still the founder, still the CEO, still building. That kind of long-term commitment is rare. At FIRY, it defines the culture from the top down.
- A portfolio at the beginning of its compounding phase. Four consecutive quarters of sequential revenue growth. Q1 2026 revenue up 33% year-over-year. RZR at 120%+ year-over-year growth in Q1 2026 and profitable for three consecutive quarters. The flywheel is turning.
- A mission worth the work. FIRY's mission is to fuel business potential. The systems FIRY builds help developers build businesses, advertisers acquire the right users, and infrastructure that turns competitive play into a scalable commercial engine. The addressable market across performance marketing, gaming infrastructure, and skill-based competition is $45B+.
- Comprehensive Benefits. 100% coverage for medical, dental, and vision for you and your dependents. 401K matching, equity incentives, pre-tax benefit options, and more.
- Wellness Support. Meditation and mental health resources, physical fitness coaching and classes, family planning assistance, virtual therapy sessions, and more.
- Time Off. Competitive PTO and company holidays.
- Las Vegas Headquarters. FIRY operates in a five-day-a-week, collaborative office environment at our 36,000+ square foot Las Vegas headquarters. Free daily catered lunch, snacks, a full-size gym with showers, commuter benefits, team events, and more.
FIRY embraces diversity and is proud to be an equal opportunity employer. As part of our commitment to diversifying our workforce, we do not discriminate on the basis of age, race, sex, gender, gender identity, color, religion, national origin, sexual orientation, marital status, citizenship, veteran status, or disability status, and we operate in compliance with applicable fair chance ordinances.
