The Role

The Pioneering Intelligence team at Flagship Pioneering builds the digital and AI foundation that accelerates the creation and growth of our companies. We are seeking a Vice President of Engineering to lead a medium sized team of Principal Software Engineers, each operating as the technical authority for their own product area.

This is a non-traditional engineering leadership role. Rather than managing a layered organization, you will build and support a team composed entirely of senior individual contributors operating as technical leads at the highest level. Each engineer owns end-to-end technical decisions, builds hands-on, and engages directly with scientific users.
