The USA Deductions Coordinator, based in Mexico City with a hybrid work arrangement, is responsible for managing the deduction resolution process related to invoice payments. This role involves overseeing a portfolio of customers and their open receivables, determining the validity of deductions, and managing both authorized and unauthorized deductions.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure timely and accurate entry and maintenance of settlements.
- Obtain and verify documentation supporting deductions.
- Identify and analyze trends in deductions, such as shortages and pricing issues.
- Manage and review deduction balances, ensuring proper documentation is received.
- Research credit balances and collect repayment for unauthorized deductions.
- Monitor and report on repayment status.
- Develop solutions to reduce and prevent future deductions.
- Identify deduction trends by customer and ensure compliance with write-off policies.
- Support the team manager in reviewing KPIs and providing updates.
- Drive process change and improvements within the deduction area.
- Collaborate with internal departments and external customers.
- Support internal and external audit processes.
- Perform additional tasks and projects as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- Experience in accounts receivable or deductions management.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Ability to work collaboratively and drive process improvements.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Fluency in English and Spanish is preferred.
