Manager, IT Asset Management

This position is part of the IT department, reporting to the Director, IT Operations, and leads the IT Asset Management Coordinator and the ITAM function overall. Overview IT Asset Management (ITAM) is responsible for the management of technology assets, optimizing the value and cost of those assets while mitigating the risks they present to the organization throughout their life. This is done by establishing an effective technology life cycle spanning asset selection, operation, refresh, migration, and optimization, all the way through retirement and disposal. The Manager, IT Asset Management owns this function end to end: setting ITAM strategy and policy, ensuring the accuracy of the Configuration Management Database (CMDB), managing vendor contracts and renewals, and leading the ITAM Coordinator and future ITAM team members. The role is accountable for asset and license compliance, and for the cost discipline of IT procurement and service spend.
