Job Description

Facilities Technician/Engineer (Controls & Instrumentation)

Location: Klang Valley
Working Days: 6 days per week
Project Scope: Data Center/infrastructure projects
Reports to: Project Manager

Role Summary
- Operate and maintain Building Management Systems (BMS), Electrical Power Monitoring Systems (EPMS), and environmental sensors (HVAC, UPS, generators).
- Manage, calibrate, and repair sensors, PLCs, and control hardware.
- Respond to alarms and conduct preventive maintenance on critical infrastructure.
- Respond immediately to system alarms or malfunctions, diagnose issues, and implement repairs on controls and monitoring equipment.

Key Responsibilities
- Continuously monitor BMS, EPMS, and Fire Alarm systems.
- Perform calibration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of sensors (temperature/humidity), actuators, controllers, and instrumentation for HVAC and electrical systems.
- Support operations for UPS systems, backup generators, chillers, and electrical distribution.
- Conduct signal simulation in various transmitters and instruments, and check readings at the control room.

Required Experience
- 3-4+ years working in data centers, critical facilities, or industrial automation.
- Degree, diploma, or certification in electronics, automation, or a related technical field.
- Strong understanding of HVAC, PLCs, and BMS (e.g., Schneider Electric, Siemens).
