Machinist/Programmer
About Fuse
We are building one of the most potentially consequential companies of the century. Our mission is to accelerate the world's transition to fusion energy while safeguarding humankind. This is not a normal company. This is not a normal job. We are committed for the long term to win.
About the Role
As a Machinist at Fuse, you're focused on production: taking drawings from engineering and turning them into parts, fast, right, and efficiently.
You'll work on a mix of standardized TITAN components and rapid one-offs with tight timelines, operating manual and CNC mills and lathes, writing and optimizing CAM programs, and verifying dimensions to hit tolerances consistently.
Core Responsibilities
Operate manual and CNC mills and lathes: set up, program, and run jobs from engineering drawings with precision and speed.
Write and edit CAM programs using Fusion CAD/CAM, NX CAM, or equivalent.
Select tooling and setups based on part geometry, material, and tolerances.
Work with materials including stainless steel, PMMA, composites, tungsten alloys, and others.
