Junior Underwriter & Operations Assistant - Professional Liability

This role is a graduate opportunity to join a specialist, fast-growing London Market MGA. You will take on the underwriting of a small-ticket US miscellaneous professional liability book, and you will also support the core operational processes behind the business.

You will work closely with the MGA's founder and senior underwriting team. You'll handle a steady, high-volume flow of submissions on a modern, AI-enabled underwriting platform, apply underwriting guidelines and binder authority, and make sure business is quoted, bound and administered accurately and on time.

This is a hands-on role. You will learn how an MGA runs day to day, from broker submissions and underwriting decisions through to the operational discipline that supports capacity providers. As the book grows, there is a real opportunity to make it your own.

What you'll be doing

• Underwriting. You'll review and underwrite incoming US miscellaneous professional liability submissions. This means applying underwriting guidelines and binder parameters, and referring risks outside authority to senior underwriters.
• Platform management. You'll manage the submission pipeline on the MGA's underwriting platform. That includes validating data it has ingested automatically, so that risk information is complete, accurate and correctly captured.
• Growing the book. You'll help grow the book from its current base
