ABOUT THE ANALYST ROLE
This investing apprenticeship role will expose the Analyst to every aspect of venture capital. While shadowing and supporting partners at G2, the Analyst will:
- Meet brilliant entrepreneurs as they pitch climate tech startups that plan to change the world
- Evaluate novel technologies and develop viewpoints on how they will transform traditional industries to be more sustainable
- Participate in (and vote in) Investment Committee discussions
- Prepare for (and work on follow-ups to) portfolio company Board meetings to assist G2 Partners in their roles as Board Directors advising firms on their most important considerations (strategy, organization, financings, M&A, etc)
- Help portfolio companies improve the economic engines that drive their businesses.
HOW AN ANALYST WILL WIN AT G2
A successful Analyst will:
- Be curious, enjoy figuring out how technologies, industries, and companies work, and not be satisfied by superficial answers
- Be capable of using multiple tools to extract, structure, and present insights from data.
