ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking an Electrical Engineer, Power to join our team supporting the DOE's Y-12 National Security Complex! This position is full-time and will be based out of Oak Ridge, Tennessee. Candidate will provide CNS Mission Engineering with full time electrical design engineering support in Y-12 Facility Design for facility and production area activities needed to expedite the closure of Change Requests for Configuration Managed systems that have been returned to service for longer than 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Familiar with and experience in developing design output in accordance with CNS and consensus national standards (ie. NFPA 70/ National Electrical Code, ASME, etc.).

• Experience in an NRC or DOE regulated environment is desirable along with an understanding of Conduct of Engineering and Conduct of Operations for facilities operating within a nuclear regulated environment.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interface effectively with various production and support organizations.

• Review Change Requests (CRs) for systems that have been Returned to Service (RTS) >90days that have not been closed.
