Engineering Technologist, Atmospheric Instrumentation
ABOUT THE ROLE
We are seeking a Engineering Technologist, Atmospheric Instrumentation to join our team supporting the Los Alamos National Laboratory! This position is full-time and will be based out of Los Alamos, New Mexico with VERY occasional short-term travel (up to 10%) for training and site operations support of the ARM Mobile Facility 1 (AMF1), currently deployed in Phoenix, AZ; travel reimbursement under GSA would apply.
Responsibilities
Support the Field Instrument Deployments and Operations (FIDO) Team in the Earth and Environmental Sciences (EES) Division at Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL); https://organizations.lanl.gov/cels/ees-division/earth-system-observations/fido.
Assist with daily operations of the FIDO Team and ARM Mobile Facilities (AMF) for the US Department of Energy (DOE) Atmospheric Radiation Measurement (ARM).
Support maintenance, testing, and deployment preparation of the ARM Mobile Facility 2 (AMF2), currently stationed at LANL in Los Alamos, NM; this includes inventory management, instrument maintenance and
