Senior Geotechnical Field Technician

Geo-Technology Associates, Inc. (GTA) is currently seeking full-time an experienced Senior Geotechnical Field Technician for our Alliance, OH office.

Qualified candidates must have prior construction inspection experience and relevant industry certifications. Relocation assistance is not available for this position.

Pay Rate: $20-26/hr based on experience

Senior Geotechnical Field Technician primary responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Observe and document construction activities to assure compliance with technical specifications
• Monitor and test the moisture and density of soils using a nuclear density testing gauge
• Testing of concrete for slump, air content and unit weight
• Testing of asphalt for temperature and compaction
• Assist laboratory and drilling personnel as requested
• Use civil drawings, project specifications and geotechnical reports effectively
• Complete daily reports, testing documents, timesheets and expense reports completely and in a timely manner
• Handle and maintain company assigned equipment

The workday begins at 7am with likely overtime. Salary is paid on an hourly basis for actual hours worked. Overtime is paid at a rate of 1.5 times the hourly rate when the total weekly hours exceed 40 hours. Mileage rei
