Job Description
POSITION SUMMARY
The Manufacturing Coordinator is responsible for controlling the flow of work to the manufacturing and quality work centers and driving production continuity. This role ensures that manufacturing operations are executed efficiently, in compliance with contract requirements, quality standards, and regulatory obligations (including ITAR, DFARS, and other federal requirements). The Manufacturing Coordinator acts as a key liaison between engineering, production, quality, supply chain, and program management to maintain schedule adherence and production flow.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Oversees Dispatch and collaborates with Planning Group, Materials Group, Manufacturing Group and other stakeholders to ensure adequate flow of work to each work center.
- Facilitate schedule adherence and production throughput.
- Mitigates production delays and rework.
- Ensures accuracy of production data and documentation.
- Ensure manufacturing documentation is complete, accurate, and compliant with government and customer requirements.
- Coordinate revisions and engineering changes (ECOs/ECNs) with engineering and production teams.
- Verify that work instructions reflect current drawings, specifications, and quality requirements.
- Participate in production meetings, program reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives.
