We’re looking for an Assistant Manager who can lead from the front, bring energy to the team and help us continue to deliver fantastic experiences for every customer who walks through our doors.

Qualifications

🚀 What’s the opportunity?

As Assistant Manager, you’ll play a key role in the day-to-day success of Wallace Well Farm, working closely with the General Manager to lead the team, deliver great hospitality and drive the business forward.

You’ll:

• Support the General Manager with the day-to-day running of a busy Farmhouse Inn.
• Lead from the front and set the standard for brilliant customer service.
• Coach, motivate and develop the team, helping everyone perform at their best.
• Build a positive team culture through strong communication and visible leadership.
• Take ownership of shifts and make sure everything runs smoothly.
• Help drive sales across our food, drinks, carvery and wider customer occasions.
• Maximise opportunities around our family-friendly offering and local community.
• Ensure our food and service standards remain consistently high.
• Build relationships with customers and create experiences that keep them coming back.
• Support with events, busy trading periods and key occasions throughout the year.
• Maintain high standards across cleanliness, food safety, health and safety and compliance.
• Step up and lead the business in the General Manager’s absence.
• Bring your ideas, personality and energy to help Wallace Well Farm continue to grow.

This is a role for someone who enjoys being hands-on, visible and part of the action — someone who wants to make a genuine difference to both the team and the customer experience.

We’re looking for someone who:

• Has previous experience as an Assistant Manager, Supervisor, Team Leader or in a similar hospitality role.
• Genuinely loves hospitality and enjoys creating great experiences for customers.
• Has strong people-management and communication skills.
• Can coach, motivate and develop a team.
• Leads by example and isn't afraid to get stuck in.
• Is confident managing a busy operation and prioritising effectively.
• Has a commercial mindset and wants to help grow the business.
• Understands the importance of consistency and high standards.
• Enjoys working in a family-friendly, fast-paced hospitality environment.
• Is passionate about food and great customer service.
• Is ambitious and wants to progress their career with Greene King.
