ERP Implementation Leader
ERP Implementation Leader (Full-Time or Fractional)
Heritage Holding
Role Overview
Heritage-Holding is hiring a central ERP Implementation Leader to own and drive ERP implementations across our portfolio of companies. Rather than each company reinventing the wheel, you'll be the shared, go-to resource who brings a repeatable playbook to every rollout — scoping the work, running the project, managing outside implementation partners, and making sure each system actually delivers cleaner financials and better reporting for the business and its investors.
This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who has personally led ERP implementations many times before and knows where they go wrong. It's finance-led, not IT-led: your job is clean books, reliable reporting, and systems that scale — not technology for its own sake.
We're open to filling this as a full-time hire or a fractional engagement (~20 hours/week) for the right person.
Key Responsibilities
Serve as the central ERP resource across the portfolio, running multiple implementations and upgrades — often in parallel — from planning through go-live and stabilization.
Own project management end to end: scope, timelines, budgets, resourcing, risk, and stakeholder communication with company CFOs, controllers, and leadership.
Select and manage external implementation partners and vendors — hold them accountable, challenge them where needed, and keep projects on scope and on budget.
Right-size each project: advise which companies need a full ERP implementation versus a targeted upgrade or clean-up, based on their size and maturity.
Standardize a repeatable implementation approach, tooling, and best practices that can be reused across the portfolio.
Partner closely with finance/accounting teams to translate their needs into system requirements and ensure a smooth transition off legacy systems.
Report directly to senior leadership (Josh / Al) on progress, risks, and outcomes across the portfolio.
Qualifications
4–7+ years leading ERP implementations — you've done this a dozen times, not once or twice. Leading (or being very close to leading) prior implementations is essential; this is not a role for a recent grad.
Strong accounting/finance background — you understand the general ledger, close process, and financial reporting, and you bridge the gap between finance and technology fluently.
Hands-on experience with common mid-market ERP and accounting platforms — NetSuite, Sage, QuickBooks, and similar systems.
Track record of managing external implementation partners and multiple concurrent projects.
Experience in a multi-entity, portfolio, PE-backed, or public-accounting environment is a strong plus — candidates coming out of accounting/advisory firms are especially encouraged to apply.
Excellent project management and communication skills; comfortable operating as the single accountable owner across several companies at once.
