Job Description

We're looking for a Performance Marketing Manager to own paid media strategy and execution across Meta, Google, TikTok, and Amazon for the Australian market of a well-established clinical skincare brand with a global DTC and retail presence. You will replace an existing agency, take full ownership of paid channel performance, diagnose what is missing strategically, and drive D2C growth back into high gear working directly with the brand's digital and communications team.

This is not an execution-only role. You will own the strategy as well as the management, identifying gaps in funnel mix, retargeting, and upper and lower funnel balance, and directing what needs to change. Creative assets come from an in-house designer based on your briefs. If you have hands-on Meta ads experience, a data-driven growth mindset, and prefer the ownership and visibility of an in-house role over the siloed structure of an agency, this role is a strong fit.

Why You'll Want to Join

  • You will be paid in USD (bi-monthly: every 15th and 30th)
  • Paid Time Off in accordance with company policy
  • Observance of Holidays per company guidelines
  • 100% remote setup so you can work wherever you're most productive
  • This role requires meaningful overlap with Australian business hours
  • Own the full paid media function for the Australian market of a globally recognized skincare brand
  • High-ownership performance marketing role with direct impact on D2C revenue and brand growth

What You'll Work On

Paid Media Strategy and Platform Ownership

  • Own strategy and hands-on management across Meta (Facebook and Instagram), Google, TikTok, and Amazon ads for the Australian market
  • Diagnose gaps in the current paid media strategy including retargeting coverage, funnel mix, and upper and lower funnel balance
  • Direct what needs to change and implement improvements with speed and clarity
  • Manage a significant annual paid media budget with full accountability for performance and spend efficiency

Creative Briefing and Asset Direction

  • Identify creative needs based on strategic priorities and brief the in-house designer accordingly
  • Ensure creative assets align with platform best practices and campaign objectives
  • Test creative hypotheses and iterate based on performance data

Performance Analysis and Reporting

  • Monitor campaign performance across all platforms and surface actionable insights regularly
  • Track key metrics including ROAS, CAC, CTR, conversion rate, and revenue contribution by channel
  • Communicate performance clearly to the digital and communications team with recommended next steps
  • Stay current on platform updates, algorithm changes, and emerging AI ad tools that could improve performance

What You Bring

  • Proven hands-on Meta and Facebook ads experience; this is the primary hard requirement for this role
  • Experience managing paid media in-house at an e-commerce brand of similar scale and spend level; in-house brand experience is preferred over agency-only backgrounds given the tendency for agency roles to be siloed by platform
  • Comfortable owning paid media strategy end to end including diagnosing gaps, setting direction, and executing changes independently
  • Data-driven and growth-minded with the ability to pick up a new market and brand quickly
  • Experience managing significant ad budgets with clear accountability for performance outcomes
  • Strong written and verbal English communication skills for briefing creative, reporting to stakeholders, and collaborating with a distributed team
  • Meaningful overlap with Australian business hours

Nice to Have

  • Experience across Google, TikTok, and Amazon ads alongside Meta
  • Familiarity with emerging AI ad platforms and tools
  • Background in beauty, skincare, wellness, or consumer DTC brands
  • Experience transitioning a brand from agency-managed to in-house paid media management

How to Apply

Please include:

  1. Your updated resume
  2. A short Loom video (1 to 2 minutes) introducing yourself, describing your paid media experience including platforms managed and budget scale, and explaining how you would approach diagnosing a brand's underperforming paid ads program in a new market

Shortlisted candidates will be asked to complete a short homework assignment, a mini audit of an existing paid ads account to assess strategic thinking and platform fluency.

Only candidates who submit a Loom video will be moved to the next step of the hiring process.

If you are a data-driven performance marketer who thrives with full ownership, knows how to diagnose and fix a paid media strategy rather than just execute one, and wants to drive D2C growth for a well-established global skincare brand, this role gives you the budget, the access, and the direct impact to do your best work.
