Job Description
Horace Mann is seeking an experienced, forward-thinking Domain Managing Architect – Cloud to lead the development and execution of our enterprise cloud strategy. The ideal candidate is both a strategic thought leader and a hands-on cloud architecture expert with extensive experience in modern cloud platforms, enterprise transformation, artificial intelligence, and scalable architecture frameworks.
This role partners closely with business and IT leadership, reports to the Director of Enterprise Architecture, and serves as a trusted advisor on enterprise cloud strategy, modernization, and technology transformation.
Responsibilities
- Define, lead, and execute the enterprise cloud strategy, including multi-year migration and modernization roadmaps across Azure and AWS for core insurance systems and supporting applications.
- Develop hybrid and multi-cloud strategies encompassing workload assessment and placement, portability, modernization, migration, and legacy-system decommissioning.
- Partner with infrastructure, security, data, integration, and platform teams to implement scalable, resilient, secure, and cost-optimized cloud environments.
