Your role at Hostinger

Join Hostinger's Accounting team and help us manage tax across a fast-growing, multi-entity group operating globally. As Tax Accountant, you'll go beyond preparing and reviewing tax returns – you'll coordinate tax compliance across jurisdictions, partner with external advisors, support tax planning and forecasting, and, together with the Tax team, help shape how tax is managed across the group.

Your day-to-day

  • Monitor VAT/GST/sales tax registration thresholds globally and coordinate new registrations with external advisors, legal team, and authorities.

  • Manage the tax compliance calendar, ensuring timely filings and tax payments.

  • Prepare and review VAT, GST, sales tax, OSS, and VIES returns before submission.

  • Reconcile tax reports with accounting records and third-party tax platforms, resolving discrepancies.

  • Support corporate income tax (CIT) and deferred tax calculations, including related accounting entries.

  • Coordinate with external tax advisors and tax authorities, managing ongoing correspondence and compliance matters.

  • Maintain tax documentation, trackers, and supporting records.

  • Support tax audits, tax research, and ad hoc tax projects.

  • Provide guidance on day-to-day tax matters to finance and business teams.

  • Participate in tax optimisation initiatives, including tax incentives.

  • Monitor tax forecasts, effective tax rate (ETR), and other key tax metrics, identifying risks and planning opportunities.

  • Improve tax processes through AI, automation, and continuous process improvement.

Your expertise and experience

  • Higher education in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.

  • 3+ years of experience in Accounting or Tax field.

  • Knowledge of Lithuanian direct and indirect taxation principles.

  • Interest in tax research and staying up to date with tax legislation and guidance.

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills, with excellent attention to detail.

  • High level of ownership, accountability, and reliability.

  • Proactive, adaptable, and eager to learn new tax topics across different jurisdictions.

  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

  • Excellent spoken and written English skills.

  • Comfort working with AI and automation tools to improve manual processes - our finance team is highly automation-driven.
