Senior Warehouse Operative Specialist
Here at Humanoid, we believe in a future where robots amplify human potential. That’s why we’ve set out on a mission to build the world’s most capable, commercially-scalable, and safe humanoid robots. We’re bringing that mission to life with HMND‑01 - our rapidly developed humanoid platform being deployed in real industrial environments - and we’re growing the team to take it even further.
About the Role
As a Senior Warehouse Operative Specialist, you will take hands-on ownership of day-to-day warehouse and inventory operations at our Vancouver site.
You will be responsible for receiving, storage, inventory accuracy, cycle counting, material movement, and kitting, ensuring components are available and ready to support fast-moving prototype robot builds.
As a key warehouse specialist in Vancouver, you will have the opportunity to establish and continuously improve site warehouse processes, working closely with Supply Chain, Procurement, Engineering, Production, and our global Warehouse, Inventory, Logistics & Planning (WILP) team.
This role is ideal for someone who is hands-on, organized, self-directed, and comfortable taking ownership in a fast-paced hardware environment.
What Makes This Role Exciting
Take ownership of warehouse and inventory operations for Humanoid's growing Vancouver robotics site
Directly support the development and build of next-generation humanoid robots
Help establish and improve warehouse, inventory, and material-flow processes
Work closely with Engineering, Production, Procurement, Supply Chain, and global operations teams
Operate in an environment where inventory accuracy and material availability directly impact robot builds
What You'll Do
Own day-to-day receiving, storage, inventory control, cycle counting, kitting, and material movement for the Vancouver site
Establish and maintain an organized stores area, location structure, labelling system, and material flow
Receive incoming deliveries, verify materials against purchase orders, inspect for damage, shortages, or non-conformance, and accurately record receipts
Maintain accurate, real-time inventory records in JIRA and inventory tracking systems
Handle ESD-sensitive, high-value, serialized, and lot-controlled components, maintaining appropriate traceability
Run regular cycle counts, investigate discrepancies, identify root causes, and maintain inventory accuracy
Monitor inventory levels and help maintain appropriate minimum, maximum, and safety-stock levels for critical and high-usage materials
Pick, stage, and deliver complete kits against BOMs and build schedules for prototype robot builds
Work closely with Engineering, Production, Procurement, and Planning to identify material shortages and build risks early
Manage material issues, unused material returns, transfers, scrap, quarantined stock, and supplier returns with accurate traceability
Prepare outbound shipments and inter-site transfers between Vancouver, London, and Boston, supporting accurate shipping and customs documentation
Track critical inbound and outbound shipments and escalate delays before they impact builds
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse environment, applying 5S principles and applicable health and safety requirements
Support asset tracking for tools, fixtures, and equipment held within the stores area
Use Excel or Google Sheets to maintain inventory reports, count plans, and variance analysis
Identify and implement practical improvements to receiving, storage, inventory, kitting, and material-flow processes
Act as a trusted point of contact for warehouse and inventory processes and support colleagues in following established procedures
What We're Looking For
5+ years of hands-on warehouse, stores, inventory control, or material operations experience within a technical industry, such as robotics, electronics, aerospace, automotive, advanced manufacturing, industrial automation, or complex hardware development
Demonstrated experience supporting engineering, manufacturing, production, or prototype/R&D environments, with a strong understanding of the material-control requirements associated with complex technical products
Experience supporting prototype builds, engineering builds, NPI, or low-volume/high-complexity production
Strong experience with inventory control, cycle counting, stock reconciliation, and variance investigation
Experience with kitting and issuing materials to engineering or production against BOMs and build schedules
Ability to confidently work with BOMs, part numbers, technical documentation, and engineering drawings
Experience handling technical components and assemblies, including appropriate storage, identification, and traceability practices
Practical experience with Excel or Google Sheets, including formulas, lookups, pivot tables, and inventory reporting
Strong understanding of receiving, storage, stock movement, traceability, and inventory accuracy
Ability to work independently, prioritize competing requirements, and take ownership of day-to-day warehouse operations
Strong organizational skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
Clear, proactive communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with Engineering, Production, Procurement, and Supply Chain teams
Ability to adapt and maintain accuracy in a fast-paced technical environment with changing build priorities
Bonus Qualifications
Experience working with 3PL providers, carriers, and import/export documentation
Familiarity with WHMIS and Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) requirements
Occupational First Aid (OFA Level 1) certification
Experience applying Lean or 5S practices
Supply chain, logistics, warehouse, or inventory certification such as APICS CPIM or equivalent
Working Conditions
On-site role in Vancouver involving regular warehouse activity and material handling.
Ability to handle items up to 23 kg / 50 lb, with appropriate equipment and reasonable accommodation provided in accordance with applicable law.
Some schedule flexibility may be required to support critical robot builds and time-sensitive deliveries.
