Dietitian
At Innovative Hematology (IHI), we offer a future where people with rare blood disorders flourish. Our experts provide the highest quality comprehensive services and holistic care to patients with bleeding, clotting and other hematologic disorders, and to their families.
What You Will Do
The Registered Dietitian provides individualized, age-appropriate medical nutrition therapy to pediatric and adult patients served by IHI, including individuals with bleeding disorders and nutrition-related comorbidities. Services are provided through clinic, outreach, telehealth, and approved community settings. As the organization’s nutrition subject-matter expert, the dietitian supports complex care, collaborates with the multidisciplinary team, and leads nutrition-specific program development and improvement in collaboration with clinical and operational leaders.
The Opportunity
- Conduct comprehensive, age-appropriate nutrition assessments in clinic and outreach settings; document findings and incorporate recommendations into the patient’s individualized plan of care with the multidisciplinary team.
- Partner with patients and families to establish realistic nutrition goals, apply motivational and behavior-change strategies, provide individualized education and resources, and reassess and revise the nutrition plan through in-person, telehealth, or telephone follow-up.
