Job Description

We are looking for an experienced SAP Business Objects (SAP BO) Senior Engineer to join our BI team in Lisbon. The successful candidate will be responsible for SAP BO administration, platform upgrades, migrations, universe development, security management, performance optimization, and technical support in large-scale enterprise environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain SAP BO Universes (UNV/UNX).
• Manage SAP BO platform administration, security, and user access.
• Lead SAP BO upgrades and migration projects, including BO4 to BO5 transitions.
• Deploy and promote SAP BO artifacts across multiple environments.
• Monitor, optimize, and troubleshoot platform performance.
• Design and optimize data models and reporting solutions.
• Support Linux-based SAP BO environments.
• Produce technical documentation and support post-go-live activities.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years of experience with SAP Business Objects.
• Strong knowledge of:
  • Web Intelligence (WebI)
  • Crystal Reports
  • Information Design Tool (IDT)
  • Promotion & Lifecycle Management
  • SAP BO Security and Administration
• Experience with SAP BO upgrades, migrations, and UNV to UNX conversions.
• Expertise in Linux environments and SAP BO architecture.
• Strong database knowledge (Oracle, SQL Server, DB2, Sybase, Teradata).
• Experience with performance tuning, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis.
• Knowledge of Python and data analytics tools such as Power BI, Alteryx, or Dataiku is a plus.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Experience working in large enterprise BI environments.
