What this role is all about

As a Software Engineer within Infobip’s Billing domain, you will work on systems responsible for processing and preparing billing data behind every customer interaction on our platform. The team develops internal products and services used across the company to support billing operations, product configuration, and pricing management at global scale.

You will join a team that combines backend engineering with business-focused problem solving. Alongside billing services, the team also develops tools used by Sales and Business teams for product activation, pricing configuration, and pricing recommendations. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with both technical and business stakeholders while contributing to systems that are central to Infobip’s operations.

The environment is primarily backend-focused, with Java and Spring Boot at the core, while also offering exposure to frontend development and cross-functional product collaboration.

What you'll do

• Design, develop, maintain, and troubleshoot backend services within Infobip’s Billing domain

• Build and improve microservices responsible for processing and preparing billing-related data

• Develop reliable and maintainable solutions using Java, Spring Boot, and relational databases

• Collaborate with Product Management, Sales, Business teams, and engineers to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions

• Contribute to internal tools used for product configuration, pricing management, and billing operations

• Participate in frontend development tasks using React where needed

• Write clean, testable, and maintainable code following software engineering best practices

• Participate in code reviews, agile ceremonies, and continuous improvement initiatives within the team

What makes you a strong fit

• Experience developing backend applications or microservices

• Understanding of object-oriented programming principles, data structures, and algorithms

• Experience working with relational databases and SQL

• Understanding of RESTful services and backend application architecture

• Interest in understanding business processes and building solutions that support operational and commercial workflows

• Analytical and problem-solving mindset with willingness to work across technical and business topics

• Comfortable collaborating with different teams and stakeholders in an agile environment

• Fluent in English, both spoken and written

Nice-to-have qualifications

• Experience with Java and Spring Boot

• Experience with React or other frontend technologies

• Familiarity with MSSQL

• Understanding of distributed systems or service-oriented architectures

• Experience with CI/CD tools such as Git, Maven, or Jenkins

• Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, Kafka, or Redis

• Experience working with Jira, Confluence, or similar collaboration tools

• Interest in learning new technologies and expanding both technical and business knowledge areas
