Our busy dermatology practice is seeking an experienced Certified Medical Assistant to join our team!  In addition to a strong commitment to customer service, the ideal candidate must have the ability to multi-task in a busy office, have a positive attitude, and be a team player!

Job Description

• Assisting physicians during examinations and procedures
• Recording patient histories & medications
• Administering injections as directed by healthcare providers
• Preparing examination rooms and sterilizing instruments
• Performing basic laboratory tests and handling laboratory specimens
• Educating and advising patients on prescribed treatments
• Scheduling patient appointments and managing medical records
• Facilitating communication between the patient and healthcare team
• Ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and safety standards
• Managing medical supply inventory and ordering supplies as needed

Qualifications

• Experience in a healthcare or medical office setting
• Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) systems
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Familiarity with medical terminology and procedures
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills
• Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program
• Current Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Knowledge of medical office software applications
• Understanding of HIPAA regulations and patient privacy laws
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in patient care
• Must be a team player, able to follow directions, and eager to learn
• Must have integrity and accuracy when entering and reporting numbers, names, and results
• Possess strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
• Must have strong computer, typing, and technology skills
• Demonstrate a professional presence
• Have a positive attitude to maximize quality patient care
• Demonstrate patient advocacy and conflict resolution skills for patients of all ages and backgrounds
• MUST be able to show up to shift on time

 

Job Type:

• Full-Time: Monday - Friday, 7:00am/8:00am – 4:00pm-5:00pm

 

 Education:

• Hight School Diploma or equivalent is required

 

 Certifications/Licenses:

• Medical Assistant Certification is preferred

Pay:

• Pay starts at $19.00 per hour and increases based on years of experience
