Application Service Delivery Lead – Business Enabling Functions

Finance and HR applications are the backbone of Intersnack’s business-enabling capability – supporting financial control, people management, and shared services across a multi-entity, international organisation. As Application Service Delivery Lead for Business Enabling Functions, you will report to the Head of Application Service Delivery & Support and take end-to-end accountability for planning, delivering, and continuously improving the Finance and HR application landscape across Intersnack. You will lead a cross-functional team of Business Analysts and Application Specialists, shaping both their day-to-day priorities and longer-term capability development. This is a hands-on leadership role with real delivery ownership – and a clear growth path towards the Head of Application Service Delivery & Support.

How You Will Spend Your Time as Our Next Application Service Delivery Lead – Business Enabling Functions 

You will be the accountable lead for all things application-related within the Finance and HR domain – from the delivery of transformation initiatives to the stability and day-to-day performance of business-critical Finance and HR systems. Working at the intersection of IT and business, you will translate Finance and HR requirements into practical application solutions, manage your team’s workload and priorities, and ensure that external service providers consistently meet their commitments. 

What You Will Do 

• Execute Intersnack’s application strategy within the Finance and HR domain, contributing actively to the evolution of the broader enterprise application roadmap. 

• Lead the end-to-end planning and delivery of application services and transformation initiatives within Finance and HR, ensuring that scope, timeline, and business value targets are met. 

• Lead, coach, and develop a cross-functional team of Business Analysts and Application Specialists, managing workload allocation and driving high performance, engagement, and capability growth. 

• Partner closely with business stakeholders – including Finance and HR functional leads and group process owners – to gather requirements, manage demand, and ensure that delivered solutions create measurable business value. 

• Continuously improve the Finance and HR applications landscape, covering stability, modernisation, lifecycle management, and security of the application portfolio. 

• Ensure stable and efficient application operations within the domain, managing incident, problem, and change management processes in line with IT service management standards. 

• Manage day-to-day relationships with external partners and application service providers, holding them accountable to contractual commitments and service level agreements. 

• Implement and maintain governance, risk, and compliance requirements within the Finance and HR application scope, working in close alignment with the Architecture team. 

• Plan, monitor, and manage budgets for Finance and HR applications and initiatives, ensuring resources are used responsibly and transparently. 

• Ensure compliance with enterprise IT standards and architectural guidelines, and contribute to the continuous development of Intersnack’s wider enterprise application strategy. 

What We Expect of You 

Essential Skills & Experience 

• At least 10 years’ experience in IT, with a minimum of 5 years in a leadership role managing application delivery in complex, international environments – ideally in FMCG, shared services, or a comparable Finance/HR application environment. 

• Proven track record of delivering application and transformation initiatives end-to-end, with accountability for planning, execution, risk management, and delivery within scope, time, and budget. 

• Strong technical background in Finance applications, with solid knowledge of financial processes (e.g., Record-to-Report, Procure-to-Pay, Order-to-Cash) and a good understanding of HR systems and their integration in a multi-entity ERP environment. 

• Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, and develop cross-functional IT teams – including Business Analysts and Application Specialists – in a matrix-managed, multi-stakeholder environment. 

• Solid experience in vendor coordination and stakeholder management, with the ability to hold external service providers accountable and build productive relationships with Finance and HR business functions. 

• Sound understanding of application lifecycle management and IT service management practices, including incident, problem, and change management. 

• Commercially aware, with experience managing application-related budgets and a track record of demonstrating ROI from technology investments. 

• A strong command of spoken and written English is required; knowledge of German is considered an advantage. 

Valuable Experience 

• Familiarity with Infor M3 CloudSuite or comparable FMCG ERP platforms, particularly within Finance, Controlling, or HR modules. 

• Exposure to financial consolidation, reporting, or planning tools (e.g., Infor d/EPM, Cognos, SAP BPC, or equivalent) and their integration with ERP systems. 

• Background in Finance or HR operations within an FMCG or shared services environment, with understanding of financial close cycles, compliance requirements, or HR administration processes. 

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field. 

• Project or programme management certification (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) or ITIL Foundation/Practitioner qualification.
